In my experience as a player, I have found that GTL Vacation is a great game to play when you are feeling angry, disappointed, or hurt. But there is also a lot of healing that happens between battles, too. For instance, every time I am confronted by an enemy, I usually get angry and feel that I have done something wrong. But after a few moments of reflection, I realise that I have done nothing wrong.
The game of GTL Vacation is a game of self-awareness. The point of it is to identify what you are feeling and to understand the cause of it. As such, the game starts with a very simple but effective game of chess and ends with a very specific and precise game of combat.
