The word in question is “obligor”, which comes from Latin “obligare” meaning, “to do”. But it sounds like a whole lot more than that. The word literally means, “to do”, and that’s it. To be “obliged” to something is to do it with a good will.
As for obligor meaning, well, you’re either obligated to do something or you’re not. The former implies that your will has been engaged in someone else’s action, while the latter implies that you are doing something of your own. The implication is that you’re not doing anything until a specific goal is met.
The problem is when we make a promise or commit to a goal we don’t actually fulfill it in a timely manner. The problem is that since we’re not following through on our commitments we’re not actually doing anything.
In the game it makes sense that we would be doing something, especially the part I mentioned. Deathloop is about being a hero, so to be a hero you must not only be motivated, but you must also be able to accomplish something of your own. Thats right, the hero can accomplish something by using his/her powers. It’s implied that he’s using his powers to kill the Visionaries, and that is what he does in the game.
That’s how things work in the real world. If you don’t work out a plan, but you are motivated to accomplish something, then you will accomplish something. One of the most important parts of having a strong personality is being able to think on your feet. Being able to think on your feet means you can be spontaneous and flexible. It also means that you are quick to adapt to new situations and that you don’t always take the easy way out.
In the real world, we can be killed for a variety of reasons, but it’s usually because we get caught in a situation where we can’t think for ourselves. That’s why it is important to have a good plan and always be motivated to take the right action.
